just ordered my Raamaudio kit!

Just ordered my RaamAudio Sound deading kit. got the kit one, sounds like it will be enough to do doors and back wall.

I'll touch back and give a review once i get it installed!

i highly recommend the roof as well. i did mine and it cut down the wind noise.

i found only putting deadener on the concave areas of the back wall was sufficient. i put the sub enclosure and amp rack against it, which in itself will block some of the high energy waves. if you're putting a sub enclosure against the back wall, then definitely put a full layer of ensolite on the wall to help elminate rattles.

About how much did u use on the roof?

 

i did one layer on all areas i could easily reach, plus an additional half sheet over the areas in the center line of the roof. the center areas still had a bit of resonance after one sheet. do the tap test to search around for areas that would benefit the most.

i did not put a layer under the plastic spacer portions as i didn't feel like there was much benefit to removing them and put deadener underneath since they are such small areas of the roof (you will see what i'm talking about once you take off the head liner). i also did not put any over the horizontal braces that run across the roof. i felt it wasn't necessary since the brace already added stiffness.

in all, i'd say it was 8 sheets. i have some ensolite leftover after doing my doors and i plan to go back and put the remaining ensolite on the roof. it will further cut down on high frequency wind noise and act as a thermal barrier to help keep in the cabin climate relatively cool.

i feel the doors and roof are where you're going to most bang for your buck. large areas of metal that can flex.
