I guess we named our dog the 'Mike' of the dog world

Yikes! I always call my dog Chuckles, he always looks like he's smiling (gotta love labs for that, always happy).

Interesting, I hadn't made that particular relation but I do like the significance of those older names. I'm not a fan of the new, made up names. I don't have anything against the people who do that, I think it's creative, just not my cup of tea.

I threw out Zdeno and Milan and surprisingly, they got shot down... :(

I agree with Evan, too common. I'm sure I probably already know 3 or 4 Zanthor's and at least a dozen Kano the flocculants.

Noo!! Although I actually like the Riddick series, I wouldn't name my kid after a Vin Diesel character! I couldn't do it to the little guy!

Not gonna lie, how the full name sounds when being yelled has been debated. If he's anything like me, he'll hear it more than a few times in his life!

Too many names, I don't need 2, how about Dwayne Dew or Mountain Camacho :notsure:

Actually, 4 of your 5 choices are Biblical names.

you gonna tell us your choice?

Congratulations. I would vote for a nice normal name like those selected. I have a crazy unusual name, and sometimes....

Yep, I know 4 of them are biblical, I just wasn't thinking about WHY they were in the bible, like what they actually represent.

I'll let my choice out once my wife and I are 100% agreed. We had one picked about 2 months ago and then started back at square 1.

Thank you! I know a few of those crazy names, too eclectic for me

My wife and I just had our second child a little over a month ago. I didn't get my way on the first name but a requirement for the both of us was that whatever name was chosen it had to be one syllable or at least shortened down to one syllable. I did get to pick his middle name though. We went with Jacob Maverick.

We have the middle name set with Donald (family name on both sides so it was decided early on). Now we're just finalizing the first name, we still have a little over 2 months.

    Congratulations Dexterdog on your newborn!

IMO that just shot Daniel out of the running. Daniel Donald Pugga. Too hard on the tongue. Same with Thomas Donald. Then he would be TomDonPugga.

Very true, we didn't mind it but we're hearing that from more people now that we're talking about it.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Congrats.

I sincerely hope that your wife has a great pregnancy & delivery.

I voted Gregory because I thought combined with middle name Donald it sounded the best.

But what the hell do I know? :der:
