I want to paint the Chrome Steering Wheel Emblem another color but I need to remove it. I can slip a small flat head under it and it comes up but I didn't want to further attempt to remove it. I fear causing any damage as I don't know how its attatched.

I was on the XR forum and seen other TACO owners remove and replace another decal. I've also seen others paint the actual emblem.

I hope someone can help and shed some light as I want to get rid of that chrome. Thats the last thing chrome on my TRD Off-Road.:D

^ I would do that if I was going Flat Black. However, I'm going to do it Radiant Red to match my truck. So I don't want to F it up..

I would though take out the fuse for the steering wheel airbag if your going to mess with the steering wheel like that.

^ Yep, I'm going to disconnect the battery.

I'm reading a write up they have on the XR forum about this mod.
