Bed-liner fender flares?

    I used rustoleum bed liner, then sprayed them with krylon satin black....They came out perfect!! i didnt remove them either, just masked the whole truck...What a pain in the azz

    for my grill and front bumper i used the rustoleum rubberized undercoating and sprayed with satin black aswell

    Holding up great

    Do you have any bigger pictures that show the detail on the undercoating stuff?

    I did the rustoleum bedliner on my fender trim. Mine just come off with a few screws. I really like the texture and look. Much better than the faded polished look.

    sorry bro i dont. but if i had the chance to do it all again I would go with bedliner all around!! Much nicer texture. A little bit harder to get the bugs off when washing but it looks way better

    OME and worth every penny.

    Yesh. Best route IMO. It holds up well and you can forget about having to wipe that junk again. I did my front bumper also.

    I thought I should post a few photos before I paint the fourth of my formerly faded fender flairs. I cleaned them thoroughly, masked them off with tape and plastic, and painted them with Rustoleum black bed liner paint. As is generally the case, the first one took me twice as long as the others, and it looks the worst. I made the classic mistake of holding the can too close, and was too aggressive, so it dripped. Argh! But then I backed off, and did 3 very think coats, and it worked MUCH better. It looks fabulous, in my opinion, so the only question for me is how well it holds up.

    OME 883's and Dakars, OME Shocks, Gray Wire, Deck Plate, Blacked Out Chrome, RAT Skids, BAMF BPV Bracket, Toytec Diff Drop, Braided Extended Brake Lines Front and Rear, In-Dash Nav.
    I've had good luck with SEM trim blank on other cars. All the rubber molding on my old fox body had faded and was just about white. Spent an afternoon with a scothch brite pad and some dish detergent tto clean everything well.

    Afterward it was just a matter of taping and spraying. I put 4 light coats on rubber trim it looks as good as the the day I did it almost 4 yrs ago. That car sits outside daily so it's held up well.

    I'm planning to do the fenders on the Tacoma tomorrow. I'll post before and after pics if I can get it done.

    Toytec OME 3" full lift. Inchworm lefty conversion, bud built skids, Dakar's + D6XL AAL, TG frame plates and Sliders.
    creamy peanut butter will make it look like new, no joke. put a small spread then get a small cloth and do a wax on like movement. i did it on a trim piece i got wax on. works pretty good from the peanut oil.

    So my flares are done. Bed lined with duplicolor bed armor in a rattle can. Removed the flares, delicately taped the rubber trim, cleaned the plastic, scuffed with 150 grit sand paper and cleaned again. Base coat of a flat black plastic bonding paint followed by 4-5 coats of the bed liner (about 2 rattle cans)

    Figured it'd be nice to see more pictures by another user :)

    That looks really good! Guess I have a new project...

    I did pick up some of that "new" ArmorAll trim stuff that I will try first, but I am not too optimistic.

    Yeah let us know how it works. I would expect that those solutions are only temporary. I read that using a mr clean magic eraser, water, and elbow grease would restore a true black. It did, but only for about 3 weeks. Just a reminder: buy the blue and red clips i linked to earlier. The clips will break when you remove the flares.
