I think I read about something similar in this thread a few weeks ago (vacuum cleaner salesman).

But I had a sketchy dude come to my house soliciting about marketing dollars that his company could use to put towards new siding or more efficient windows on my house. I told him I wasn't interested. The whole time his eyes were gazing into my house. I would intentionally step up more and block his view... letting him know I see what he's doing. He kept going on and on about marketing dollars and signage on my lawn. I asked, "what exactly are you trying to sell me?" He replied, "the opportunity to be part of market research in your neighborhood and potentially have some marketing dollars put towards your siding or windows"

I said no thanks. But before he left he literally got on his tippy toes and looked into my house.

I literally had to drive 10 minutes later to go get my daughter, and I wasn't psyched about that. On the way out of my neighborhood I saw him and two other equally sketchy looking dudes walking on the sidewalk, with a guy in a navy blue minivan following them at a snail's pace 4 or 5 houses down. I didn't get the license plate but I got a good look at the driver of the van.

I called the non-emergency police and gave descriptions of the guys on the sidewalk, the van and the dude driving it. Told them I have nothing concrete to go on but it just didn't feel right to me.

That's been happening lately, I know in wash park it was happening with "ADT sales men", it also happened in Brighton in the neighborhood a few of my co workers live in but the cops got them in a house stealing shit. I would for sure get a plate number if you see it again.

 

Ugh, lemme tell you what these guys are doing..

They'll drive around, knock on your door, if you are home they'll play the part of salesmen, if you are not....they'll look for a way to break in.

Definitely get a plate and call that shit in.

 

More and more I like my locked front gate. . No one can even get to the front door to ring the bell. And Tango starts barking they move on.
