    Honestly, its all about budgeting. Zero debt besides my new car, fully own my '07 taco.

    Selling whale fins on the side to the Japanese helps too.

    Buying any car or truck on credit is a huge risk. I pay cash, and "make payments" to my savings account for a couple of years to help pay for the next one. Seeing as I keep them for 8-10 years, paying for the next one is no problem.

    House is paid for. Married, but wife doesn't work. She is, however, one hell of a cook.

    You can choose to pay Biweekly Like I do on my mortgage which takes 4 years and change off the back end of my mortgage so it is not always a credit issue it can be you just want to pay something off sooner. My truck is a 4 year note at 460 a month I pay 250 bi weekly so it shortens the loan to 3 years and 5 months ish. More then one way to handle ones money. Hell I round up bills like cable,insurance,trash,cell to the nearest 10 dollars so about once a year I get a month with out a bill and it makes it a hell of alot easier on balancing a check book :}

    No, just work hard, keep the bills to a minimum and don't try and keep up with the Joneses. I'm 57 and have worked since I was 7 or 8. I would mow lawns all year for the neighbors and at Christmas I would wrap the neighborhood trees in foil and red ribbon, anything to make a buck Got my first paper route at 10 or 11 and held them until I was old enough to work at the local fast food joints, picked up my first full time job at 21 and have never looked back. I hope to retire within 5 years.

    Been saving for a truck for 5 years. Last December finally wrote the biggest check in my life for a regular cab 5 speed Tacoma. Live with my retired parents, but pay all the bills. No wife/girlfriend or kids. I do have a bratty spoiled younger sister who is in college and constantly leeches off of me. I save a lot and invest a lot. Got a decent job in construction, work as much as I can. Late 20's, don't party or do expensive drugs. Eat out maybe 6 times a month. Only hobbies are cycling, motorcycling (old VFR750 bought used), and starting to get into guns. Wish I was rich so I could spend more money on mods. Maybe one day. Planning on opening a doughnut shop in the near future.

    Send $300 to the truck note every single week.
    I roughly get $1000 a month that I can blow on the truck.....once it's paid off it will get radical but this $1000 helps me send a full months payment every week till its paid off.
