So ive landed on a bit of cash and im thinking about spending it yet again on my Tacoma. Thing is, i haven't yet decided on what to buy for it.

All of my mods so far are listed under my avatar so you guys know what i dont need.

Im looking at either buying a 5th wheel or selling wheels/tires for a new set of wheels and upgrading tires next year with my tax return monies so im all set there. going to be upgrading to 285/70/17 Goodyear MT/R w/ kevlar yet again havnt decided on wheels yet.

So, what to buy? Ive been looking at a

    Softtopper
    http://www.softopper.com/

Cruisin Offroad front bumper w/ light hoops
    http://www.cruisinoffroad.com/bumper-tacoma-f.html#top

or maybe Cruisin offroad rear bumper with all the addons?
    http://www.cruisinoffroad.com/bumper-tacoma-r.html#top

extended brake lines and bump stops to counter the larger tires in future upgrades?

    ATO skid plate package?
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/ar...64-tacoma-skid-plates-armor-tech-offroad.html

    OME roof rack?

So what id like is new ideas or input on my ideas, i do wheel my truck and am planning some weekend camping/wheeling trips in the future.

Front or rear! it seems it would make sense to get the front first but it sure would be nice to have a tire carrier swing out for my full size spare

You wouldn't be able to get both for that amount. You could get a really nice swing out rear, as well as something else. Maybe sliders?

Don't waste it on truck parts. You could take a fantastic trip for that kind of money.

Buy some stock shares in a blue chip company and watch that $2,000 grow.
Once you blow it on parts and such for your truck....it's gone!

Agreed. I did 8000 miles in 5 months in 2009. Two grand would have paid for most of it.

Your avatar specs say you have the Toytec ultimate lift kit, so I'm assuming you have an AAL? I'd say upgrade to a full leaf pack and then maybe some skid plates. I can only imagine adding all that armor is better after you have a more suped up suspension. Do you have new UCA's? hows your aligment going to be with new 285's?

Yep thats the AAL, is that where the alignment goes funky? with bigger tires? because its fine right now. i dont have new UCAs, almost went in the group buy/coupon for light racing UCAs.

Alignment changes with the lift, and I'm guessing you have your Toytec coilovers somewhere around the 2-2.5inch mark? Regardless it just depends on if your alignment is in spec or not. IF it is then no need for new UCA's.

What dont you like about it? the stinger really throws me off but he does custom hoops. told me i could basically draw something on a napkin and he'll make it for me. so im goin with a tri hoop light guard.

Looks pretty badass to me. If it was a cross between 2 bumpers I've seen I'd say it looks akin to the CBI and Relentless bumper. You should get him to do a 3 hoop or a milder stinger. Would look great.
