I do have a "no solicitors" sign that ends up being 5 inches away from their face when their soliciting me. If it's a true solicitor I'll just glance over to the sign every 3 or 4 seconds during their pitch.

 

I just let the dogs out and say "Step away from the gate." Move along.

Mongo is down to 110lbs, lost about 10-15lbs from Cooper chasing him all over. My buddy Jason said they play all day long

Thanks, he's gotten a lot better according to Jason, he use to chase the chickens, but calmed down a lot now that he's a bit older.

In 2013 why is anyone answering the door when they're not expecting company? Ed McMahon isn't driving around in the Publisher's Clearing House van hadning out giant checks anymore. I don't answer my door for anyone.

I sure hope those 'salesman' come knocking at my door. If they then do what you're talking about surprises will ensue!

 

I had something like that happen to me in Utah. Black guy salesman, which is already suspicious, I'm not racist but anything but white is few and far between where I lived, came up while I was working on cleaning and restoring a horse trailer in our driveway. I was home alone and in high school at the time so I was nervous. He was trying to sell me some cleaner which was annoying cause he kept spraying it on the wheels but luckily it was just an old horse trailer. I kept myself inside of it and only talked to him through the window.

He eventually left, my neighbors invited him inside which is an awful idea and I saw on the news that evening a pregnant lady was attacked by a black man a few blocks away from me. Was most likely him.
