That is definitely true. But I have ridden in other trucks that have swayed me from it as well. I was originally going to pick up that kit, I'm glad I didn't. I digress.

But in other news, whenever I go to tighten my shackle bolts (through the frame) it makes an exxtrreemeeellyy loud squeaking nose every time I tighten down on them. Time for new bushings?

IIRC you're on your 3rd set of shackles, second leaf pack, revalved, and bitched up and down about your ride height with your rear setup. I'd be swayed from your kit before another Giant kit :cookiemonster:

Bushings squeak. Why are you tightening them?

I like my giant kit..only complaint I've had is one of those U looking spring brackets rubs on the shackle mount when they compress

    Slightly fabricated.
    Leafs were free.
    No revalve.
Havent bitched since I got the new pack.

And just usual prep every few weeks, Its an extremely loud squeak haha. Gonna get some WD40 in there and see if it helps.

Mine were squeaking pretty bad too, I re-greased everything when I put on the new shackles and it's nice and quiet again, for now lol

    Still a second set.

    Uh huh....

    vvvv

There's a difference between tightening and torqueing.
If you have to tighten up every time you prep your truck, maybe look into locktite. Overtightening those bushings is just going to add more dampening.

ohhh man those whoops are far from little. Those specific whoops at the bottom of blowsand would eat up any LT truck (with any of the bolt on kits) on this site and shit them out sideways.

This and will slow the rebound, maybe RJ you have been over tightening and in the whoops you said it was packing this could add to that issue.

    ...too much shit to list.
FSM calls for 37 ft lbs on ubolts and 89 ft lbs on shackles/hangers.
Generally accepted that the FSM is full of shit on the u-bolts and it was a typo and I just use first gen numbers at 90.

As for the pivots...I run mine at 50-60 with a nylon lock nut and locktite

So do you just get it hand tight and go with that?

Im just not sure what would be considered "too loose" or "too tight"
