Anybody know of any good reads on setting up rear leaf springs, as far as like anti-squat and other factors to take into account? I'm not having much luck with google at the moment...

None of that is a factor on leaf springs. Make sure the leafs don't go into negative arch more than an inch or two and call it a day. Your way over complicating it.

And u bolt torque is dependent on what size the u bolts are. A 9/16 is around 120ft/lbs and 5/8 is around 150ft/lbs and yes, it is important to use a torque wrench. They stretch and it takes a long time to actually reach the torque spec

i was going to say, isnt anti-squat deal with links and what not?

but im also happy to see you said around 150ft/lbs with the u-bolts. i didnt really have a clue and set them at 120ft/lbs with the 5/8 size.

What are you talking about, how can you not set up leafs without understanding anti-squat, anti-dve, roll center, instant center, ect.......

LOL, I swear everyone on this damn site is an engineer behind that key board.

Don't you have some kits to weld up?

I kind of figured I wouldn't have to worry about it too much with a leaf setup but I know it is there. I would like some anti-squat, just not sure how much. haha

I'll tell you what, driving a 4 door 4.0 LT truck is bad ass. Freaking blast on the street.

Race truck parts make race truck noises. Damn bypass tubes clicking.
