Thanks. I'm a huge fan of SCS's wheels. They perform great and damn fine to look at as well.

It's without a doubt been a progressive problem. Hard bottom outs on the skid no doubt are the main culprit. The skid utilizes the lower bolt on the passenger mount. My truck always ends up pulling to the right after offroading. Now I see...every time the rack mounts push up, which in turn pulls the tie rod in slightly, which in turns makes the spindle toe-out. Repeated hits just kept pushing it up more and more and more over time.
I've got a few ideas scribbled on a bar napkin on how to fix it. Honestly its a lower priority at the moment. Been neglecting other things in my life prior to Moab so trying to get those back in check.
In any case...this is how I knew my mounts were trashed. Found this pic on Chaos's website. Just a little bit of difference :anonymous:

Konsta (RCtoy) has broken 1 or 2 of those now, before even the cheap O'reilly CV's. Kind of defeats the purpose of ever going to RCV's because the stub shaft is a lot harder to replace than CV's and apparently breaks just as easy.

In fact I took that pic of the new one by the broken one, or at least took one just like it. haha. That was Konsta's.

But how many CV's have you seen break when the truck is going strait? The stress and eventual deterioration on a CV is when it's maxed out at angle of dangle.
Also FWIW, the Tundra inners use a 930 style joint, not the tripod shit you guys are used to.

Ultimately anything that bends/breaks really doesn't surprise me anymore. Not necessarily happy or proud about it, but whatever. Par for the course I guess.
After replacing the engine, front suspension, rear suspension, rear axle, (list goes on)...a piddly stub shaft isn't going to affect my mood much.

If you haven't got it replaced yet, the best way we found, was to pull both cv's and the add off of the diff. Then put a punch through the drivers side of the diff and just punch the shaft out. Konsta was going to tap it and thread a bolt into it, but it is a pretty dense metal and the bit didn't want to drill it very badly.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm not doing the diff work.
Just dropped it off and let my driveline shop dick with it.
