Well I know they do it on 1st gens. But not just the grill changed for us through the 3 mini gens of 1st gens. The hoods and fenders did too.

S I'd make sure that stuff is different or similar. Paint colors could be different too. Idk. But in theory yes. Toyota is great at keeping the base part the same. So everything should bolt right up

I still have a 2012 chrome grill unit in my garage. I thought about keeping it in case I nail a prairie rat but it's just taking up room... He can have it for super cheap if he's serious about it. And yea, if the hood line is the same it should be pretty straight forward bolt together. You'll have to make new mounting points for somethings but it could probably be realistically done.

New head lights and fenders looks like will be needed.

    Okay..

Gears if your choice and brand

    Master install kit

    Pretty much it.

If your adding an arb locker

-arb locker(should come with everything like air lines and bung and solenoid s and switch)
-OBA(arb compressor or other or co2)

    Have fun shopping haha

I can tell you gears and master kits are gonna be about a grand. Arb is a grandish. OBA is about 200.

4wd? If so then yes you have 4.10's. All 4wd 4cylinder 2nd gens have 4.10's. All the V6 2nd gens have 3.73's (except the x-runners, they have a 3.15) and the 5 lugs have either 3.58's (auto) or 3.31 (manual).

thought about it. I've got a guy here in town who does really good exhaust work and I usually end up staying and chatting racing with him after since he races the dirt track scene around here so he likes working on my truck :). May have him relocate that little section of pipe that hangs low behind the t-case on the 2nd gens and move my tailpipe tighter to the bumper. not sure I like the idea of that moisture under the bed after the chop

I've never heard if people having a problem with it chopped other then sometimes chopping it bad so ost pointed at the axle.

And sweet! The exhaust guy in Powell is legendary. He is booked a month a head usually. Does insane good work. Mine turned out great and tucked.
