No you heat up the LCA so it expands and chill the ball joint so it contacts then push it out. Its not risky just don't over heat the LCA... (don't let it get red hot)

Sounds simple enough. If the BJ refuses to loosen up and my dad runs out of ideas I will use this technique. Thanks man.

Looks like I'll be busting out the mini coleman propane tank with the torch top vietnam style! :D

Every link I find for the Tacoma FSM is taken down  still searching for torque specs for when I reassemble the front suspension:eek:...and when time comes for the rear also.

BJ tool doesn't work because there's nothing for the tool to press against. You have to get pretty sketchy with the shop press as is.

Looks like Toyota got anal and went on a witch hunt to take down all the hosted FSMs. I used to use the one on customtacos, but it's gone.
At this point, you can either sign up for a yearly subscription ($400/year), or buy the book here for $140. I'm not sure why there are multiple versions (it doesn't look like it's a 4-part book)
I really wish I had gotten my butt in gear and downloaded everything from the customtacos site. Having a book is nice, but a searchable PDF is incredible. I'd pay some for that.

What do you expect from a company who comes up with ads like this?

    2,450 - - - It's a high dollar but it's in mint condition.

The owners are retired and they have a custom lifted jeep, two harleys, one lowered modded miada (for racing), brand new F150, toy hauler, two boats, and all of their shit was polished and looked brand new, so they obviously take great care of their possessions.

It's an LTZ400, full nurf bars, aftermarket front and read bumper, full set of dirt and sand tires/wheels, FMF exhaust, jetted carb - runs like a champ ;)

Yeah their jeep was an 1976 (i think), and fully built from the ground up with one hell of a paint job.

    Here's their Ford on 35's.

haha idk how much rocks/mud they do with it, but they had a full set of paddles for when they take their jeep to Sand Lake - I wouldn't mind a set of rear paddles lol
