Yeah, the trail rig will be a little longer now, but I probably should wait to get a house first anyway, and we still haven't found one of those.

But yeah, a 9300lb towing capacity opens my options up quite a bit, although I'll still be looking for something dirt cheap.

By the way, Dave, Sorry it took so long to get the estimate together for the full LED conversion. This is what we are looking at (anyone else interested, just let me know)
All bulbs replaced labor - $67.50
    Dome LED in blue (1) - $9.98
IP cluster LED in blue (4) - $10.00
AC control head LED in blue (1) $1.99
Front Marker LEDs in amber (2) $5.00
Third brake light LEDs in red (3) $7.50
Front turn signal LEDs in amber (2) $15.96
    Flasher for anti-hyperflash (1) $13.99

Grand total for full conversion is $144.61.

I will need to order a couple of them so let me know when you want to do this.

Long days at work for the rest of the week, and the weekend. Go ahead and order them, I'll get with you on my next early day and see if you have time. Probably sometime next week.

Looks like I'm gonna trailer the miata down to TGPR in Munford. I'm already kind of over autocross, I want to try some track days... Less "working" more driving! :headbang:

LEDs are ordered Dave. It might take a bit. Slow boat from China, ya know. lol.

Jim, what is TGPR? A race track, or a series?

Talladega Gran Prix Raceway. It's just east of birmingham, sort of near the actual talladega. It's a very small mostly-motorcycles and carts track in the middle of a field in Munford, lol, but they have cheap track days that are perfect for a noob like myself to test out.

Closest track to me besides Road Atlanta, actually, and I don't want to have my first attempt be on that!

We were going to visit Christina's parents for her mom's birthday that weekend anyway, the only difference is throwing the miata on a trailer.

I know what track you are taking about Jim. Iv only seen motorcycles on it though. However you do know that you would be less than 10-15 minutes away from mount cheaha right? It would be fun to take the miata up threw there as well.

It is mostly motorcycles, but this track day is very much for cars. Part of why it's so cheap. Also, if i screw up, I end up in a field instead of in a wall, so hey!

That's not a bad idea, although it should be a full day (8am-5pm), so I'm sure I'll be exhausted afterwards.

You do have a point there lol! Walls don't seem like they would be very fun to drive threw.... however if you were the kool-aid man that would be a different story.

I enjoyed driving around Mount Cheaha with my then-girlfriend Sammie. It is beautiful up there, and when you find those private waterfalls, the sex can be awesome!
