my truck makes horrible noises when the helmets and parker pumpers are turned off. Sounds like its about to fall apart
But at higher speeds all noises disappear

I got tired of taking people for rides and having them ask what's wrong with the truck. It is pretty obnoxious for a DD. The cage really carries the sound...I tried soundproofing the interior. No dice. So I had some old 1.5" bushings laying around and stuck those in there instead of the uniballs. It's nearly silent now unless the windows are down and you are going slow. Sure, it's hillbilly engineering, but it works. They've been on there for 20,000 miles or so, at least half of that in the dirt without issue.

Alright, since we're (kind of) in the topic of cages, I have a question.

Are 5-point harnesses safe for daily driving?
My concern would be whiplash from having your body strapped to the truck and not your head.
    Opinions?

I dd mine. I used to be a tow truck driver and saw hundreds of bad crash scenes. There would be a many more people alive today if a cars had cages and 5 points...if airbags and factory seat belts worked as good as advertised every race organization on earth would require them...

    Ok, second question.
Are the ladies not going to want to ride in my truck because of the placement of the harness straps?;) Any complaints of that nature?

    ...too much shit to list.
    Buy a dog instead.
They're cheaper, don't complain, love to go for rides, and when you tell them to come...they do.
