How well does the chrome grill sand. I though they would be a PITA to get paintable.

I just scuff it up real good and do a few light coats with adhesion promoter. I did it with my grill, it has held up alright. A few small chips from rocks. Im going to be doing alot more coats of clear with this one.

Since you guys were talking about tires earlier, Im looking to buy new ones this weekend. Yes yes more tires haha:D I buy them every 2 months haha. I brought my ome full lift kit with leaf pack and now need tires. Im gonna need to stay with a p rated since I have a 4 banger but there doesn't seem to be alot of choices. I only find 3 tires that were semi aggressive. Toyo open country at2, hankook dyno pros atm, and general grabber at2. Toyo/ atm are 40lbs and less thread at 13/32, but the grabber is 44lbs but 16/32 thread. Would you stick with the less thread and go for a lighter tire oe get the more thread and go for the 44lbs tire. Idk:confused:

Tread pattern-wise I'd get either the Hankooks or Toyos. They will be a better road tire and still do well on the trails.

Thanks. Idk, I was leaning towards the general cause it had more thread/gonna look mean and tirerack has it the cheapest out of all the three tires. 540 shipped is a steal. But then again its alitte more heavy. So my mind is racing haha

If you really liked your BFG ATs, the grabbers are a good choice. They have a very similar tread pattern. Almost exactly the same actually but they have "stone ejectors" basicly the tread lugs are farther apart near the sidewall. I would probably go with Toyo's, i think the are snow rated and i like the tread on them

My Grabbers ( I have LT's,not P-metrics ) do make "some noise" on the road...more of a "hmmmm" BUT are wearing like iron and take all of my abuse ;)......Those Toyos are VERY popular and wear well BUT as with anything...need rotations consistently to get that wear...

And real quick...You are not looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers because ????

Yeah the bfgs and the grabbers are just the same tire lol. I loved the bfgs. They were awesome on my first gen but me being a 4 banger the load c really effected me alot. Too heavy of a tire for the truck. My power sucked. So I kind of want p rated so the truck doesn't feel like it lagging. I like the thread of the toyos but why the hell does the thread have to be lower on a p rated. Should be the same from a p to a c or e lol

Thanks snoope. I had the grabbers before but in load e and were great but way to heavy haha. But yes I do have to rotate them well for sure. The toyos have a 65k warranty on them for the p rated so thats great. As long as I rotate them well.

Love my dynapros. Great in the snow, decent off road and no hit to my mpg.

I'm running the c-rated nittos. Wearing really well (I have a full spare and rotate all 5, expect 60k), did well in the snow.

You should think about a small turbo, exhaust, 30lbs flywheel, and stage 3 clutch. Then you can run 33" tires with a 12" width no problem :D

The hell I wanna put turbo and all that other stuff lol. I don't have the money or the will to do it haha. Would never go 33 tires anyways . Too big for highway driving lol

C'mon, I did everything but the turbo! It was the balls.
