Painted my rockers today with bedliner using a roller, did the prep work by sanding down the paint with grit paper and xylol solvent, came out good and was able to get 2 coats on with 1 quart. Also had a magnaflow 5x9x18 oval muffler and tip put on

Thanks! It's actually the rustoleum brand. Got it at tractor supply, I think it looks good, the roller I used gave it a good rough texture but you may want to grab a few different kinds ... Sponge or the kind u get for painting walls...and test out on something first to see what you like. Be sure to do the prep work!

It does look good. I just knew it didn't have quite the texture Herculiner has.
And yeah for sure on the prep work, I have some pretty gnarly chips and spots missing paint on my rocker panels so I have to take care of those first. Don't want this bedliner messing up after a few months.

Another thing I did a few weeks ago that makes the overall look a lot better is getting the under carriage paint and doing the frame under ur rockers and wheel wells if u haven't already, mine looked all nasty and brown (not mud). Good luck and post pics!

    Damn you, miss.

You just made me go and spend $15 that I didn't need to spend because that looks too cool...

I'm making a little tweak though... :spy:

Those only cost $15? meanwhile trying to find a FJ front Toyota badge costs like $75? Fuck you hybrids.

Mine cost about $30. Where'd you get it for $15? Lol. They originally have me the wrong one and it was $40 ouch.

That's not my final product because I'm going with a satoshi grille. I was just curious if it would fit and look cool.

You better not be doing the same tweak that I'm doing :spy:

    The magic of the interwebz.

It's a knockoff but it's a... unique one to say the least.

Best case scenario, it looks cool, worst case I tear my hair out...

I'll post some pictures once I get it installed but I won't give any more hints ;)

(ps, sorry for callin' you sir, didn't see that you had made the OP on this mod )

    Look at build!
It will pay for itself with no more broken stock grills and lights and such! they usually die on impact nowadays & I haven't had a single bit of damage with the bumper.

Does anyone know where I can get the striker plate set on the interwebs?? tried rockauto and partsgeek with the item number and stll nothing.. may just have to go to the stealership and get them.

If yours is the stock Prius one then you shan't need to worry ;)

How are you going to attach the emblem to a satoshi?

I'm assuming the emblem you have still has the OE mounting pins...
