    Evening all:
Now how could you miss Fred! ;)

Little late! Heres a pic. from last year's first day of trout.
The girl (Nicole), the young guy (Jim), and the old guy!
All got the limit from the upper Lehigh River; a hard to fish but beautiful place.
Hmmm! He keeps pushing his fish closer to the camera so it looks bigger!!! It don't look it, but that trout was 25 1/2", and the ones that Nicole and I are holding are both over 20".
I am going to miss that place when I am no longer able to fish it! Been fishing it for close to 50 yrs., and before they made it a state park :( very, very, few people ventured into this remote area of the river.

    How did you guess? :D
I would look a little better, but after the 2.8 mi. walk in, the 2.8 mi walk out, the backtracking, and going up and down a steep bank multiple times, it ages me!

YEA! But then there's that steep bank to go up and down, and all the jagged rocks and ledges along the river.
Not the easiest place to fish, that's what still keeps alot of people out of there. And then there's the rattlesnakes!
Was very lucky to only run into 1 in all the time I fished it. It's in an area that's well known for them.
When the time comes, I just hope the young guy will bring me pics. of what I would have caught if I were there!

Next post came up as I posted this.
George: sorry to hear about the wife. Welcome back!

Just thought I'd check in and say Hi! in the 60+ thread! I'm in Tempe, Arizona. Used to post here quite some time ago, but my wife passed away two years back and I kinda lost interest, not just with TW but lots of things.

But I'm back again! Couldn't remember my original user name and password, so I felt it best to start over again. Probably best this way.

Here's my 2003 Double Cab Tacoma, my 5th Toyota truck and one I'll likely hang on to for the long term. Just turned 91k..

It looks as if there's a lot of us plus 60's here! That's great!! May even be a few in my neck of the woods, something I'm looking forward to finding out!

OK, I am way over 60 and I have had three FJ's. My kids say change is good as long as it's not for them. This is my first Taco and I have had it for about a month. So far I have added a trailer brake controller, weathertec digital mats, aluminum bed cover, tailgate security mod, Icon stage 4 suspension, TRD black wheels and Goodyear Duratrac's plus a few other things which I can't remember. Oh yeah, did I mention that I was over 60?

Morning all, Sorry to hear about your wife George. Welcome back to TW and this thread.:D

Welcome Hellsbay...mind if I call you HB for short? a lot of us seniors with Tacomas here (even a few youngsters stop in from time to time even Sue (ImpulseRed008) who is an Honorary old timer and one hell of a good lady). Great group of people.

Hi Fred, bears must be looking for food to fatten up for the winter...we live in a pretty built up area and they tranq'ed a bear that was cornered up a tree about 4 miles from my house. This was in Warrington, PA. I'll see if I can find the pics of him up a tree before they got him down. Took him back up state and released him, but he'll be back:D:D.

Hi Tom, how'd the shutters turn out?:worthless:

Shutters are hung now. I have a before pic and I am waiting to do an after pic. The pics will come next month.

Son wants to take out one of the three holly trees today. We shall see what happens. ;)

Thanks for that Susan. You may not "belong here" chronologically just yet, but it's easy to see why you say "the guys let me hang around"!

My wife and I, both Arizona natives, had a good long run together, four decades plus. She died 2 years ago this month after a decade plus battle with cancer. We raised four great kids, so I get to enjoy a large extended family, including 12 grand children and 2 great grand children.

Like some others here I'm well past 60, but I haven't let that number slow me down in the least! I stay active, eat healthy, exercise four to five days a week, and get out of the Valley heat often in the summer to head north to Arizona's high country. Cool weather and uncrowded conditions off the beaten track make for great days up there!

    Bulldog canyon ride, Feb. 2013..

It would be a lot of fun to find a new lady friend to share the journey with, but that'll happen if it happens in it's own time. She'll be a special lady if she fits the profile I'm looking for, but in the meantime life is great and the future is promising, at least from my vantage point!
