The bushings seizing to the LCA isn't really an issue as far as I'm concerned. The bushings are supposed to be clocked so having them seize to the LCA isn't a huge deal. The issue is, you don't want the cam bolts to seize to the bushing since they need to be able to move every time you get an alignment. If the bushings are good, I would just grease up the bolts and call it a day.

Your bushings will likely already be seized to the LCAs so it won't be an easy job. I would be surprised if you were able to press the old bushings out. By the time your bushings actually go bad and need to be replaced, chances are, you might need new ball joints also, or it might be a good idea to swap them in also. That being the case, you can buy a complete LCA assembly with a new ball joint and new bushings for $260ish/side. If your alignment cam bolts are greased, all the hardware can be re-used, saving you a lot of money. When everything is seized and you have to cut them out, replacing the hardware is expensive.

 

Pulling them would probably make it easier to get the new coils/struts in there as well, right? I'll have to think about it.

Remove the bolts , grease and reinstall .

One at a time

Make sure to mark their location so you can return them to their original position

E-1 - Airman Basic, E-2 - Airman, E-3 - Airman First Class, E-4 - Senior Airman. I haven't been any of those since 2000. We're all "Airmen" like you're soldiers but you can't put it before my name....then it becomes rank. E-1 through E-4 can be shortened to Airman Whoever though. I'm closing in on 19 years......

Full OME with 886, dakars, and tc ucas. We tried installing wheelers extended brake lines but they wouldn't feed thru the bracket on the bottom axel so we will have to do it another time. Also have the invisible sway bar mod freaking love it.

 

Nice! Doing mine tomorrow. If you look at bjmoose's install guide you'll see that you have to dremel out the brake bracket a little to get the extended brake lines to fit through it.
