I have a 2" suspension lift on the front....leveling kit....plus bigger tires and different rims. Right after i had all this put on, I noticed that the rear driver side was sagging a enough to notice from a distance, plus the alignment was off quite a bit. I took it the the dealer and they said there was nothing they could do and that i should go back to where I had the work done(Allen Tire Co.)....so I did. A.T.C. said it was the leaf spring. Since then, I have been to the dealer 3-4 times for the same reason. They have said there was nothing they could do everytime. Mainly the reason is because of the lift. I dont have the factory tires and rims anymore either. Told me to put it back to stock and they would look at it again and take it from there.

Along with all this, I found a TSB on another Tacoma forum about a "recall" on the rear suspension. I showed the dealer this and they said same thing above.

If anyone has any input on what i should do, OTHER than puting it back to stock, then PLEASE let me know. I really want to get this nightmare fixed.

    Thanks!
    -Jon

Well if it is the driver side. There is the infamous taco lean everyone should know about. My truck sits about 1/2 an inch lower on the drivers side. I also have a 3 inch lift.

Sometimes it is as much as 1.5" and others its as little as 1.2"......might be the angle my truck is sitting at the time or something different. I honestly dont see any reason why it would change other than that.

I think wheelersoffroad sells shims or a 1/2 inch spacer to help offset the infamous taco lean.

if it truly is off by 1.5" then i'd say its a little more than the normal taco lean... maybe crawl up under the rear on the DS and see if you notice a cracked spring... also what kit do you have on the front?? if it something like the 5100's then make sure they are both set to the same height.. if its adjustable C/O's then typically the drivers side will be set about 1/2" higher than the ps in an attempt to correct the taco lean. at best they should be set at the same height.

Its just a 2" suspension spacer from Super Lift....just put it on the stock coils.

toytec sells a small spacer that you can add to the DS coil to help with it... other than that short of getting adjustable coilovers or something along the lines of custom springs for the rear theres not a whole lot you can.

i compensate for my lean by adding 3/4" extra preload to the DS coilover on mine which seems to do the trick pretty well.

I had an AAL made for me at a local spring shop. They put a little more arch in the driver side spring. Truck sits dead level side to side.
