Did you polish first? How long after the application will water bead up nice and tight on the hood?

    Nice job BTY!

The product is on sale at Autogeek for today. 30% off. Looks like a nice inexpensive product that works well. A lot of you guys on a budget should try it out.

I first use the clay bar, then apply the blackfire, let it sit a while, the top it with a coat of wax, water beads very good, nothing really sticks to the sides which makes washing easy....

Anyone have a free shipping code for Autogeek? It seems outrageous to pay $6.95..
"We charge a flat rate based on the order value." As taken from the website.. Seems to me a business should charge just for the actual shipping charge..

    EDIT: Found a %10 off code. F150.
No free shipping code.. I am going to wait 3 and half hours to see if anyone else has a code.. That's when the blackfire %20 off ends.

If your order is over $95, use the code AGO for free shipping.

    Thanks! Didn't think of that.

You saved me $6.50.. :D I'm going to put it in the deals and coupons on here..

I was able to apply both that, and F150 for a total discount of 8.. but then I canceled my order to check my paypal and if I had one applied, I couldn't apply another.. Oh well.

Interesting. I was able to use the free ship code and still retain the discount. I know AG only allows 1 code per purchase. I also had a decent sized order since there were a few other items I needed.

    Jon:
The real issue is availability of quality car care detail products available at commercial establishments. The selection is very limited to none. I will say that AG stands behind the products they sell and the customer service is first class.

I like you try to avoid shipping and handling fees as well a sales tax.

I washed, clayed, polished, and waxed today.

When claying the roof, I noticed one side was rough and didn't feel right. When polishing, it was like the stuff was sticking like glue. I could barely get it off, and it didn't smooth anything out. I've waxed over everything to protect it for the time being.

But what do I need to do? I'm assuming that this will require a buffer to get whatever is up there off? (I did everything by hand)

I had to have two doors painted last year. Does that leave an overspray that would be rough up on the roof? the rough section is as long as the door and as wide as 2 ft.

    Any thoughts?

My guess is its overspray . Might want to look at either a medium or higher grade clay to remove that,

It might be overspray or perhaps tree sap. You might want to try a series of more aggressive pads along with a good paint polish.

Old to the forum.. Should I get a LED light bar for my grill? :D

Welcome mike.. Usually the detailing forum is for washing tips and stuff. You might be better off asking that in Second Gen, or searching for it.
