Anyone know how to remove the grey trim piece that goes around the gauge cluster and the far left most A/C vent? It's the piece that is shaped like a hood over the gauge cluster.

I know you're supposed to remove the two screws pointing upward on the "hood" part of this piece. Then what?

Seems like these two screws just keep spinning for me. They don't seem to tighten or loosen at all. Any ideas?

They are not really threads. You need to use very light pressure and back them out, enough so you can get your finger nail in there. Then work it out the rest of the way.

That whole piece comes out together. But the entire bottom section of the dash must be removed first.

    Good Luck!

Cool, thats a little reassuring. This is my issue, The piece where the gauge trim/hood right above the A/C vent on the left by the dimmer knob bumps up to the actual flat dashboard piece above the gauge cluster has a gap in it. I can almost see in between each piece. Are there clips that hold this joint together? Or does something else just need to be tightened? Its such a stupid little thing, but it is driving me completely crazy!
