    It's growing on me.

I made an appointment at Kaiser to have it frozen off though.

I never had a problem with any of the 2nd Gen front ends. I remember people complaining about the '12 facelift and I didn't get it... they said it looked like the Highlander.
    I didn't care for the 2001 facelift.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
2001 was tough for me to watch. I really had to give the Gen 2 rear fender time to wear on me as well. I agree that the 2012 grill and headlights are a lot sharper looking than the 05-11, especially with an aftermarket grill.

The next gen Tacoma might not have exact same front design. The 4runner and Tacoma have always been similar, but different. Id like to see this new 4runner design in some other colors...all we have is the red one so far.

This one is just a facelift like the '12 Tacoma. Might be a new steering wheel and minor dash changes, but for the most part, it will be "recognizable" compared to the '13.

Probably because so many people bitched about not being able the mod the front grill. Like putting in a after market grill.

    It's not unusual.
Rav4 got a minor facelift in 2004 following the 2nd Gen redesign in 2001 (after a pretty much unmodified run from '95-'00. The facelift only ran for 2004 and 2005.
Tacoma facelifted in 2001 and only ran until 2004 before the 2nd Gen.
Tacoma facelifted again in 2012 and will likely be moving to 3rd Gen in 2015.

    5th Gen 4-runner has been running since 2010. That's 3 years.

Looks like they may be massaging the cluster into a format that will work with hybrid gauges. On the highlander hybrid limited, a power meter replaces the left side tach.

I did that to my 2011 Taco. Plastic POS bumper fell apart. I don't recommend it.
