What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I was kinda getting used to not having it... when I first started the truck afterwards I punched myself in the leg trying to steer with the force I was used to

 

got my TW sticker!! gettin at least 12 HP and +2 mps out of it!!

 

Lol I did the same thing after driving my buddy's 95 nissan truck with no power steering haha

 

I had an old hardbody with no power steering. My wife went to move my truck one day n she came inside and said I forgot ur truck don't have power steering right now I just laughed at her

 

Haha yea it's fine once you get going faster but just backing out of the driveway or in a parking lot sucks haha

 

It don't bother me.

 

Well I'll put it this way, when you're used to driving one with power steering it sucks ha. I was backing out of a girls driveway in a hurry an forgot about the power steering and when I got to goin forwards I bout took out her mailbox haha

 

Lol that sux what a nice thank gift u left her. One of these days ill replace my R&P and ge power steering back

 

I couldn't remember who's truck it was but remember when we were talking about the Toyota sticker/badges and you said it has to be big enough so people can see what you got? I did that and posted it to tease you but i guess you didn't remember haha

 

Not today, but last night, used my Tacoma to stabilize while I shot the Super Moon handheld.

Haha, I actually never seen until looking through your gallery. But I figured I needed an Oakley sticker since I own 3 pairs.

Was looking around and it looks like the cheapest I can get the 5100/eibach lift is $519 shipped. Coils and front bushings from toytec using the TW code and the 5100's from DSM with free shipping. Could get under $500 shipped but with 233k miles I don't think I'll be reusing the bushing on the top of my struts haha.

Now if only I could sell my amp and subs or rc short course truck...

Steering rack bushings installed, a bit of a PITA but i'm glad they're done, not so hard to do.

Looks a helluva lot rustier than it really is!

 

quick question. I installed eibachs and 5100s (set at 0). My truck still drives straight, doesnt pull one way or the other and my steering wheel is still perfectly right side up when im going straight. Should i get an alignment?

 

Yes. Get an alignment for sure. Even though it tracks straight your caster/camber may be off and will wear your tires out quickly.
