I got my stumpy from pinkbike. Great deal and even had some upgrades that I was actually looking to do on my own. 1x10 FTW :D

I say go for it. It looks in good shape, has hydraulic disc brakes, if you don't know if you want to really get into it, but don't want the wallyworld special, it will be fine. Your first ride should be at long cane horse trail. Park at fell hunt camp. It is a shared trail, so just watch out for the four legged creatures. We did a group explore the trails ride up there, it was awesome.

Ya that's where I intend to start riding. I have run there a bit starting at the parking lot on FS rd 505. I think it would be a great bike to start on and if I get really into it I can upgrade later.

It's worth a try. I can tell you from experience that the Yakima pad does not work very well on a Tacoma. The seams where it naturally folds puts it either too high or too low on the gate. The center padded section where the headtube is supposed to nest is too stiff- I ended up cutting out the end bumper pads to get it to conform better.

I switched to the Amara as well. I got it about 6 months ago. Very comfortable and I like that it has a go pro mount on top even though I don't have a go pro yet. Although it is comfortable I do wish it had a little more contact on the sides of my head. Front and back it is great.

Freakin' awesome. I test rode a Superfly 100 elite carbon and that bike climbed like a billy goat and was quick in the turns.

I ride it enough, but there are other shows in town besides FATS. I ride a local trail close to my house where that picture was taken. FATS is great and all, but there are other trails that have their own personality. Just saying. :D

I've never been there just hear a lot about it. What are some good bike shops in the Augusta/Aiken area. It's really about as close for me to come there as go to Gville or cola.
