When spraying the dye or paint I'll hold those fackers down for 15 seconds or so before I stop and shake the can.

The problem with the short 1-2 second bursts is you typically stop spraying and start spraying on the material you're painting. And in my experience, even if I'm moving the can I get those "sunbursts" where even the paint hits when I start or stop it.

My technique is to start the spray off the material I'm painting and bring it on to it at full spray. Then make sure I move off the material before I take my finger off the nozzle. That's the only way I ensure I get a smooth and even finish. It's also why my floor looks the way it does :)

Yep that's what I do with spray cans too. When I did my grill with plastidip, it was globbing up too. Short bursts helped a lot.

When I spray, I just punch a hole in the can and walk away for a bit.

Thanks everybody! I've been on the fence with the grille since it was painted. I still have my original that I'd like to sotoshi down the road and go back to black. I work up in Pinetop AZ over the summer, which is where the trees come in; cool but the pollen and sap will drive you crazy!

I've already restored them a handful of times and it just comes back so they need to change. I wasn't planning on reusing my lenses. Was just going to switch them out if it was cheap for a temporary fix. I was aiming towards getting something like this down the road:

    Only $193

they look sweet but be sure to do some research on those. Ive heard bad things about the aftermarket projector lights like those. heard its better to get some cheap ebay lights and do a retrofit yourself.

EDIT: Not trying to bash or be a killjoy, just lookin out. I have no personal experience with them but just from snooping around the forums...

X2. My friend bought a set somewhere online, paid way too much for them, and they are aimed WAY too high. I mean higher than regular high beam height, with no adjustment screws on the lights. And they are just cheap. I'd recommend buying the $30 assemblies from rockauto and doing a retrofit yourself.

All depends on the stuff you use. The nice stuff runs for like 400-600..add that to those 200 buck housings..600-900 bucks once you add in all the little shit too.

www.theretrofitsource.com has them...just gotta choose the right bulb type.

True, but even the mini kits are a hell of a lot better than the stock headlights on our trucks. In the group buy I got my kit for 250 with shipping and upgraded bulbs. I think it's normally around 215ish with the group buys going on continuously.

It is a Monster aux cord and the metal piece w/ monster logo has since separated from the ends. I didn't have to cut up the pocket to fit the scangauge, just forced it in  I did have to cut a hole in back for the cable. I want to relocate it to where the original brake lever is but that might not be to visible there.
