I love mine. The flip to side was an option with the magnifier when I bought the red dot online. It was a whole package deal. red dot and mount and magnifier and flip to side mount. $180

i figured that's what i'd hear, i've heard nothing but good things about PA.
they must've changed their prices, the magnifier is $70 and the FTS magnifier mount is $100 and the sight is $70.

thats weird they dont even show the flip to side mount as a option anymore. This was my order just a few months ago:

Primary Arms 3MOA CR2032 Red Dot with Mount (SPECIAL PURCHASE)
    [Magnifier:primary Arms 3X Magnifier]
[Mount:primary Arms Standard Height Flip To Side Mount]

    $178.98

that's weird, if i get the PA m3 i'll ask around on cal guns and see what FTS mount will work.
i personally don't care for the looks, and the fact its a fixed power scope.
but most of the reviews are good.

Just remember you get what you pay for, you could be in a SHTF situation and your Amazon red dot could fail leaving you with a glorified club

Ugh, come on- you're going to spend several hundred dollars or more on a gun and put a POS $80 airsoft scope on it? At least spend a bit more and get one that is designed for real guns (which have some recoil). The Primary Arms Chinese optics are actually designed for real guns, have been well tested by actual shooters and they have excellent customer service if you have any problems with it.

Leapers, UTG, BSA and most of those other cheap scopes are not known for durability or holding a zero.

Some people don't have that kind of money.
Or (in my case) it just doesn't make sense to dump that much money into a optic when I could buy (or build) another gun for the same price or less.

A brand new Aimpoint PRO costs more than my entire AK (granted, I built the AK from parts). Then again, with how much I have dumped in my truck in suspension parts, I can probably buy another brand new car

Buy a good set of iron sights. Get good with them. Save up for a quality optic.

I will throw you a bone though,

    http://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_Micro_Dot_with_killflash_p/md-08.htm

The battery life isn't the greatest (compared to an aimpoint, it's awful), but I've simply abused the 2 I have and haven't had a problem. Marshall is also a great guy to deal with. It'll get you into an OK RDS to give you some time to save up to upgrade to an aimpoint.

I've got one of the Microdot style as posted above as well as one of these:

    https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_30mm_Red_Dot_p/primary-arms-30mm-red-dot.htm

For a range toy they work great. I wouldn't put them on something with heavy recoil or take them into combat but for the average shooter they work fine. For a serious rifle I'd have at least one quality dependable optic though.

if you keep your eyes open you can find the Aimpoint Patrol Pro on sale for around $400; Palmetto State Armory sometimes includes a free Magpul rear sight too.

If you skimp on red dot then get a quality set of irons. If you skimp on iron at least run mbus and quality optics. There's a few used older aim point runnin around for cheap. I got mine for 300 it's a used but in great condition comp m2

And make sure to stock up and carry batteries in your rifle or in a bag. I got them inside my pistol grip
