I put a TRD exhaust on my 2.7 and it sounds perfect IMO. It has a deep tone down low similar to a modded WRX that had a baby with a 350Z. It sounds great without being too loud or obnoxious and goes nearly silent when cruising at speed. I got it for around $350 OTD from my local dealer. I had a local muffler shop weld it on after the stock flange since it was made for a V6 and it was about 6 inches longer than my stock pipe. All of the hangers lined up perfectly. Even my wife likes it and she usually complains about other people's "stupid fartcan" mufflers. :p

    nothing cool
I got the stock exhaust with the regular chrome tip. If the TRD exhaust was cheaper I'd get it in a heartbeat. Can't bring myself to pay the $400.

just installed the TRD cat back exhaust on my '12 DCSB 3.4L. it's a nice low tone at low rpms and a deep throaty roar when you step on it. recommended for sure!

Love my TRD Setup. Sounds a whole lot better when you add an URD Y Pipe.

I have a TRD exhaust on my '10 Access Cab - it was easy to install myself after finding the write-up here on TW. It's very quiet at idle but has a great growl as you step on it. If you plan on getting a CAI, that will also change the sound. I have the Volant CAI with the Ram Air Scoop and I definitely noticed a meaner growl!

Going to pull the trigger soon on a TRD Exhaust, tired of looking at the cheap tailpipe exhaust that comes out of the tacoma, plus dont want to much noise so it would be perfect.

I just went for it, having one put on my new DCLB 4x4 Sport. Maybe too rash without even hearing the normal exhaust, but hell, everybody on here makes it sound like it sounds pretty good!

I had it on My Tacoma and now on My Tundra can't go wrong with the TRD exhaust. I think it sounds even better after it wears in after a while!
