She saw him coming because she had her fists up. If she would have had a gun and shot the ceiling or the floor as he was walking in, I'm willing to bet that he would have took off running. Hell it's obvious that he is a coward for continuously beating on that poor woman, so if she would have, as little as, showed a gun, he probably would have run. I just hope the cops find him "already dead".
