I actually have a sun allergy. skin swells up and itches like poison ivy if I dont use sun screen on a bright day. My front windows are tinted to 30% and its enough that the sun doesnt affect me. its perfect

 

i went with 20 on the fronts and 10 on the rears. the 20s arent the darkest... u can still see the outline of my head but its good enough. also got a small 5% sunstrip on the front windshield...kind of annoys me since im not use to it

 

I've got a great place two minutes from my house.

ahh man sorry to hear that!!! but on the bright side!!! I THINK you can get a permanent permit for your tints, if you go tru the proper channels

i used to get pulled over on my DD once in a while and i was like F*ck it I pay the ticket and so be it!!! til one day i got a ticket, and when I got home i went to pay it online and the cop had writen "tints" for description but put bs exhaust emissions for the CODE (which is what goes in the system) so I eneded up having to go to court just to be able to pay it without having to turn in proof of repairs….. and when it was all done…. guess what happened 5 mins after i got out of court? busted for tints again!!! so I did away with them same night all pissed and shit….lol

I've been thinking of mentioning to my eye Dr how the sun gives me massive headaches….

yea I have a friend who's mom works for a dermatologist. He has a "prescription" for his tints.

 

what the right process?
take the prescription to your local PD or to DMV?

 

Yeah school me on this tint thing. I want legal window tint

 

just drive with your windows down and you'll be fine lol

 

I don't know if its even legal, I just know he wrote himself a prescription so if he gets pulled over he can show them that and give the cop a story.

 

I know some of the state troopers around here. But occasionally they wanna be nosey and pull people over for petty things. I don't wanna get yanked for tint and have to have it removed.

 

I would like to do it legit!!!!

Did you try Keen Gas in Millville. Back in the bodyshop days that is who we used for our compressed gas. I am going to shoot the brother inlaw a text to see who he uses.

Are you on stock suspension or upgraded? I heard on stock suspension it's a bit sketchy but if you got newer stiffer coils you should be good.

Also damn you guys get dark tint. What's legal? 35%? I never had tint so I think I'd be happy with legal limits. So glad they don't do safety inspections in NJ anymore.

 

I'm lifted with toytec 3inch lift...when I lifted it the sway links snapped thus making the noise. And I drive on 287 everyday and when switching lanes I feel more comfortable with the sway bar on.
NJ law says any percent tint on the rears are legal. However, the front sides and front windshield can not have any tint on them no matter what percentage

That's dark. I'm happy with 30% in the front. Between having a black truck and all the other windows tinted around 10%, makes the front less noticable

 

Yeah I think I'd just be happy with matching my rears. I'm surprised you have issues with the sway bar. Maybe a quick disconnect is a good option for you? I still have mine on as well but I don't want to risk taking it off until I lift it. I will probably go the quick disconnect route as well since I like to play race car driver when it's a little slick out on the on/off ramps of 95.
