hey new england tacoma drivers, is there any sort of tacoma "salute" for our fellow drivers (mirroring the biker thumb up drive by gesture)?
even in my short tenure of ownership (1 week), i already feel a heightened sense of comradery in the toyota "brotherhood" (e.g. not riding anyone's tail, letting into merge/turn opening, etc). not to mention other tacomas/tundras catching my eye anyways!
if there isn't one, how 'bout we come up with one?????
wouldn't know how to go about spreading the word (personally, i'm rolling around NH and MA)...
i suppose seeing level of feedback to this post is a reasonable start...

    Wow... That's pretty terrible!

Meh, couldn't convince me that spacers are a good idea. I'd just get wheels with the offset you want.

Yikes, that's an expensive 20 minutes!

My jigs came yesterday, gotta lay out my room now, I might be asking for advice since I've never built anything like this before

No, there's no 'Toyota Wave', remember you bought a Tacoma, not a Grand Cherokee... Occassionally, I will throw up a very specific wave to other drivers but it has nothing to do with the vehicle they are driving. It is commonly referred to as, the one finger salute. It expresses how deeply I feel about the way other drivers are acting. It allows for a temporary unspoken momentary bond between myself and the other driver as I aknowledge is navigational asshattery. Maybe we should all just use that? :notsure:

You do realize that all you have in common with them is a truck choice, right? There are just as many assholes driving Tacomas as there are any other brand. To many of them, it's just a truck and they bought it because the price was right at the time.

Awesome! I have to draw it out on paper, get some ideas down, then I might have questions about procedural stuff, like the proper way to build something but most of what I have to do is simple stuff. I kept it fairly simple knowing I'd be the one building it!

Yeah, the Grand Cherokee owners all wave at each other. Google 'Jeep Wave', you'll see what I mean. I have a motorcycle and most bikers out here won't wave back at you (Harley guys mostly, they'll only wave at other Harleys )

Agreed. I don't give any particular make preferential treatment though. If you're driving like an asshat, you gonna get boxed out

    bad apples are bad apples

No, not getting much sleep, working long hours and work has been stressful. That noticable, huh?

    My house

We bought a 1906 fixer upper. So far we tore out the entire kitchen and redid it, the back hallway and laundry room have been redone and now building out a nursery. We're basically going room to room, building in more storage, closets, etc. The kitchen and back rooms were a little different, they were complete gut jobs and everything was replaced.

I know, I was mocking the Tacoma wave idea
