    Yeah I agree. I love bison meat but it is expensive and not really necessary. Better to cook it at home to have all the luxuries of a kitchen to make sure it turns out well.

    I'm only on Leg 1 :( Legs 2 and 3 are too long of a trip and too advanced for my rig (I don't even have sliders yet). So I'll pass the baton to you for Leg 2, sir! :D

    And chopping wood is NOT mundane. I feel sorry for you guys who do think it is.

    I have a pretty good sized inverter (750 watts), but looks like even it can only run a small coffee pot. I just looked up some averages. The inverter in my bed is only 400 watts.

    Average laptop: 50-75 watts
    4 cup coffee maker: 650 watts
    12 cup coffee maker: 1250 watts:eek:

    The only thing in your laptop that really uses much power is the CPU and it's much smaller than the heating element in your coffee maker, plus the cpu is regulated and tries to use as little power as possible while that coffee maker is running full power trying to heat up as fast as possible.

    Well the screen uses some power too, but probably not too bad since it is LCD or LED.

    If it makes you feel any better I have a desktop that will suck up 900+ watts of power (not counting the monitor) but that is only when I am pushing both the video card and the cpu as hard as they can be pushed and the only way to really do that is running stress tests on both of them, or folding@home

    I never said I was, just said I had the inverter. I'll likely just have my phone, camera, and air mattress. Can't think of anything else that runs on electricity. All 3 of my things can run off the Tacoma though so I woudnt need the inverter.

    I'll be bringing my camera, and inverters for charging the batteries. I MIGHT bring my junk laptop, but only to transfer pictures if I run out of space. Battery is junk, and I don't want to use it when I'm out there anyway.

    Otherwise, the only electronics I plan to use are my Gauge Pack and my camera!
