what's everyone's take on undercoat spraying? (is that included in new purchases? and how often should it be re-done?)

 

I have no idea what Toyota dealers use for undercoating, or if they do it in-house at all rather than farming it out to a contractor. Nothing is free. If they're offering free undercoating, you paid too much for the truck. Most of us probably paid more than we had to for our trucks...

I think it's worth the money and effort. I'm planning to do Fluid Film for the first time this fall. At Truck Trends in Belmont, NH, they get $275 for the first application, then $199 for the annual touch-up. I've never seen any product that claimed to not require periodic touch-up. If you travel to Canada, Krown has a great reputation.

Just go buy a 3/8" drive set of torx sockets and another set of allen sockets. You'll still be using them in 40 years.

It comes with a socket . And a Allen pack will be under $10 there as well .

 

Depending on the app you may get by with the folding Allen setup. I use mine a lot but just light duty household stuff.

 

He's fucking with his intake, best he uses better tools to help him from making a mess. He already wanted to use vice grips... He needs help.

 

Yeah for that kind of thing this ain't gonna be the tool for the job. Then again, might not be so bad with this being a station wagon..
