In the Mini H1 kit I got it says you can paint the shrouds, just throw a coat of primer and whatever color you want. I painted my mini gatling guns black

I've only had mine 3 weeks, but the shrouds are sealed inside headlights. They arent going to just mess up all of the sudden.

I painted all my shrouds black because I didn't want to paint the reflector, plus I have halos so black shroud makes the halos stand out more. Use a silicon glue or jbweld when installing the shroud or it'll fall off during driving, not cool at all.

    crap bolted and welded together....
Andrew...So Im looking at getting the D2S kit. Wondering if by chance you knew the best spot to drill into the housing. Want to install a flat top high heat led, or multiple if their is room for a second-third hole.

When you remove the factory glare shield that covers the lamp, the screw hole makes a perfect pass-through for wiring going into the housing for the high beam solenoid and halos.

Beyond that, the reflector bowl and the front part of the inner housing are separate parts. The front part comes off with the clear and will need to be detached to install your LED strips.
You could route the wiring through the large hole in the back and around the side of the reflector bowl and bring it "out front" anywhere convenient.
You should be able to easily conceal any wiring.

Looks good! What did you do for the centric rings? I've heard they don't work on the '12s and up.

You just have to grind the tabs a little in everyone about a 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch and they will line up just fine!

What he's talking about is the metal adapter ring for H4 lamps, the inner of the ring should be completely circular with the exception of a small "tooth", grind some of it off and it will line up, grind too much and its gonna turn without stopping, thus making alignment a bitch. Send you a picture tomorrow.
