I don't want this to be interpreted as anything racially related. But I swear to god I am getting so damned tired of this one chunk of freeway that I drive on every day. I drive from the Peninsula and then through Oakland. Every day without fail I will be driving along and some dipshit in some sort of pimpified shitty 1990's Buick with a crappy paint job and $4,000 rims is driving like a maniac. Yesterday I had a long day. It was pushing 8:00 by the time I hit this section of the freeway and wallah- as soon as I get near Oakland there's 5 guys in a POS 90's Mercury. I'd say I was driving close to 75-80MPH, so definitely not going slow by any means. They wind up speeding up so they can go around me, then almost side-swipe me in the process of narrowly squeezing by a car to my right. I just about nailed him and just laid on the horn. They proceed to speed up, only to get off at the very next exit. Was it REALLY worth all that effort just to get ahead of me for 200 feet?

I use this as an example because it happens EVERY DAY on this same stretch of highway. It is getting reaaaalllly old. What's worse is that there's definitely a lot of people with a ton of money in this area driving brand new Bimmers and Mercedes. But its never them that you see doing this. Its always the guys in a POS buick, 15 year old Lexus, Cadillac with dented-in doors, and minivans full of 10 kids.

Yes, its pretty much true. When I lived in "Da South", it was all the rednecks driving Chevy Novas with 100 pounds of bondo stuck to the fenders. I guess every region has its own brand of stuoiud drivers

Oh man Bob! I take 80 two or three times a month to go to Folsom where our son lives and to Tracy where my mom is. YOU AINT LYING!!!! Every trip, we see what I call the "Oakland ramp jumpers"-they get onto 80 and just simply floor it like their accellerator is stuck then jump off two or three exits later just like you said. The females are just as bad as the males. There is nothing more satisfying, though, than to see one of these knuckleheads who continued this lawless maniacal sprint past Oakland and the CHP has them pulled over at Martinez:D
worst part is they have the seat FULLY reclined and their stupid head is by the back door!

i like when they ride your ass for no reason on a multi lane highway that is EMPTY and suddenly pull out beside you to pass. this is usually when i drop a gear or two and try to match their speed :)

also if your in the right lane next to a dirt shoulder and some idiots tailgating you, i like to swerve into the shoulder and kick up some dirt ... they usually let off real quick after that

Yea.. Tucson, AZ isnt much better either. It's a problem that plagues every place. I kinda wish the road conditions were poor so poor to the point where a POS couldnt make it on the roads - But I guess thats what 4x4 trails are for huh?

Driving through LA was pretty bad one time. I was cut off 4 different times (That is, almost hit) in like 15 minutes. Maybe its just bad luck? Maybe its the surrounding area. I'm not perfect but Im a decent enough driver.... At least decent enough not to play with myself on the freeway in the fast lane going 10 under.....

Yea... it happens.... only in LA.

They're everywhere. I HATE TAIL-GATERS also. If somebody is tailgating me at 60MPH, then I lay off the gas until they go around.
