I did cedar on the sides and back of my house, vinyl on the front and wrapped all the trim. Won't have to mess with that shit for a long time..

I like cedar impressions. Alot more work to install and the material is more expensive. I like the idea of doing the front of the house with cedar impesions and the sides and back with regular vinyl in the same color.

 

Save alot of cash that way. I stripped mine and used new construction windows.

If I knew I was staying in my house long term, I wouldn't mind spending more for the material, but where I have the possibility of relocating for work in a few years, I don't want to overspend on shingles. They do look nice though

 

Give the shingles some thought and poke around for deals..we found some cheap a few years ago. We just hung them and let them weather..they've held up great, plus you can clean them easily. I bought a cheap-ass pressure washer and it worked great on them..

Yup the cab damage will have to be cut out. So in the next few days ill know more of what I'll be doing to or with the truck. May fix may get another not gonna say what kinda of yota 4x4 but I did look at and make a hold on one. Teaser

Sucks. My brother totaled his 2010 Tundra, the damage was similar to yours with a lot if the PS rocker and doors pushed in. You've got the know-how to fix up yours, so all is not lost. Build thread part deux?
