Then you need to be possessive!!! ALL toys belong to YOU!! YOU decide when it's playtime. You give them a toy to play with and YOU make them drop the toy and take it away, when YOU decide play time is over. ANY unacceptable behavior, take the toy away and send the offender to bed. With good behavior, give the toy back to the "victim".

And remember a good dog is a TIRED dog.

    Good luck.

    my pekingese isnt doing well.

let her outside last night, she went down the back porch step, and walked about 5 feet and her back legs just gave out. she laid there trying to move herself with her front paws but it wasnt working, she seemed very out of it extremely confused and dazed. she pissed herself. carried her inside put her on a blanket on couch and she was very dazed for a few wouldnt react to anything. eventually she started rolling on her side to let me pet her, started licking etc but was breathing very strangely, hard and fast. slept on couch with her all night, at about 715 this morning she went to turn around on the pillow and i guess her back legs gave out again and she fell off the couch, picked her up and pissed herself again.

called my vet and took her in, they did xrays and it showed that she had alot of air in her lungs and her spine joints or something were too close and that could of been why her legs gave out but their not sure, then she showed me around the heart and she said she has a small case of pneumonia. they have her in an oxygen tank and will call me throughout the day and let me know how she does.

i dont know what to do, bills are extremely tight i just dished out 2 grand for all 3 dogs last month, and shes 14 years old so shes not exactly going to make it much longer unfortunately, i dont know what to do. i dont want her to suffer

I bolded the most important part of what you said. You have to do what's right for her. Choosing to end her suffering isn't a bad thing if there's no easy or long-term fix on the radar. I know it's tough and I know you love her and believe me when I say I know what it's like to make the hardest decision you likely ever will in your entire life. Ultimately you want her to be around forever and would do anything to make this a reality but you also have to consider quality of life. At some point you have to realize that if she's not able to enjoy life you're not honoring trust her by keeping her hanging on. If the vet doesn't have a course of action to proceed on then things aren't going to get better unfortunately. It's cruel that dogs are with us such a short period of our lives but we have to do what's right by them when that time comes. Do what's right for her.

Riley turned 4 on Wednesday. He got a double whopper...plain for dinner. He got the meat patties down in a couple of bites each. He wasn't so sure about the bun-3 bites. It was gone like I'd starved him-and he doesn't get to eat like this except his b-day :D
