Just be sure to use a backing plate behind the bed rail sheet metal.

It is a classic case of plagiarism. If I was having to explain this to the principal my only slant would be, "But look... mine has mesh!"

I don't. But I can get some probably after the weekend.

I had to get the rack and topper back on in a hurry with limited time.

    Thanks dude.

Jon made it, I finished it.

WWF analogy: Jon wailed on some poor schmuck wearing a black single shoulder strap singlet. After unloading on the guy who now lays unconscious in the middle of the mat, Jon tags me in. So I climb up on the third rope and Snuka an elbow into his sternum. Then loosely hook one of his legs and tap him out.

They're going back on once I install the Bud Built skid and belly pan.

Gonna need the extra height in order to keep Ol' Red from sagging to the ground

    :p

Without disassembling it, this is the best I can do for you. You should get the idea.

We drilled holes all along the bed rail. Two reasons: 1. to mount the backing plate and 2. to be able to mount the bed rack in three positions (forward, center, back).

You can see the holes in my bed rail. And this is a piece of the scrap we used for the backing plate. Simply bolt the plate up behind the bed rail (I cleaned, primed and bed armor'd my backing plate so it wouldn't rust against the sheet metal).

We used 1/8th in plate that is 1.5" in width.

The only thing you may have to contend with is the fact that the top of the bed rail began to taper (hard to explain) fore of the wheel wells. So we had to actually taper the backing plate to match so the holes would line up. At least that's how it was on my truck

I got a bunch of quick fist sitting around my garage. Going to steal your idea and mount them to the legs of my bed rack! Thanks for the idea. Mine is going to be a little bit of Adam's and a little bit of yours. Plus a few ideas from my buddy that's making it.

Well, mine is mostly all Adam's except the Quick Fists and the mesh... and the fact it's strictly mounted on the vertical of the bed rails.

For shovels, axes and hi lifts, the original (model 10010) Quick Fists are the way to go.

For the hi lift, I mounted the Quick Fists so that the barbed part of the fastener is on top. Seemed to make it easier to mount and unmount the jack.

Madjik - Were you interested in a locking glove box latch? Just thought I'd ask you first before posting them up for sale.

I was. But then I thought about it and don't want another key on my keyring. And the cost of having the cylinder rekeyed to match mine probably isn't worth it.

Unless I'm just talking about my tuchus right now :notsure:
