I'm gathering all the parts for my build, what type of brakes are you guys running?

It's time for a replacement in the next couple months anyways, figured I'd ask if there was a recommendation over OEM?

Note this is for my 99. First gen

I ran slotted rotors and green stuff pads for a few years and now I am running cryo-treated slotted rotors with Hawk LTS pads.

Rears will last the life of your vehicle but you should take off the drum covers and clean the hell out of them and sand the pads, Your e-brake is directly affected by your rears only so keep them in top condition.

Most important is replacing all of your brake lines with steel braided.

Everything you replace with better parts will have a huge impact on your safe stopping power in a good way.

Expect to pay around $300-$400 for a solid setup

25-35. You don't want to go too low or you will pushing the tire off the bead all the time.

Sounds good to me. Appreciate it.

As I'm piecing my build while out of state, my wallet is realizing that LT(Quality) and cheap don't mix

Only if you are running beadlocks...

But even then I typically run 30 in my tires and air down accordingly from there IF needed.

    No beadlocks...

Grabbers and their thick ass sidewalls don't air down well.

I used to drop to 15-20 all the time, but I kept pushing tires off beads and it was annoying.

    I like powerslides
