A co-workers house caught on fire last weekend. The FD said thier neighbors dirty-ass grill caught on fire & spread to the patio cover. Somehow it jumped the fence & burned thier storage shed & part of the house. Everyone was fine. Talk about a freak accident!

    So.. CLEAN YOUR GRILL NOW

Sport wheels added.
I scrape mine out once a year. I brush off the grate/grill after it heats up and I put food on it. Other than that, it's just seasoned.

I also don't put it near the house or anything that is flammable. Common sense.

gross. I clean mine with a steel wire brush after the coals get hot, then give it a final cleaning with half an onion right before i grill. i also smash the onion up and shove it through the grill into the center of the coals which is the hottest spot. it evens out the heat and smokes the food rather deliciously.

    She's gone but not forgotten.
Something else you gotta watch for I learned being a part time firefighter back in a previous life...spiders like to crawl up in the metal tubes and make nests. The tube can fill with gas and "back flash", at best scaring the hell out of you, at worst roasting your 'nads or blowing up.

I'm with GoBlue.....I just got a Weber Summit and have it hooked into my Natural Gas line......the design is awesome and built like a tank in the U.S.A. I scrape the cooking grill once or twice year and once a year turn all the burners on high to just burn everything off......
