That's not just one of their full size campers that will fit the Tacoma due to it being a flat bed ?

Nope. If you check out the article, this is a complete new redesign based on the Tacoma. they're also working on doing something similar for other smaller trucks.

Hard to tell from that pic, and it could be in the article I havent read it yet, but how much wider is it than the taco? It would be nice for it to be about the same width.

Looks like the sidewall protrudes 2-3" from the width of the tire.

    from the article;
"The base weight of the Fleet flatbed is 998 pounds. The Fleet flatbed at the Overland Expo was 1,475 pounds with an optional furnace, water heater, refrigerator, solar, jacks, awning, and two six volt batteries."

By the time you add gear, water (20 gal.), propane (10 gal), passengers etc you'll be 2000 pounds.

Fuuuuuuuu that's a lot of weight to have on the back. Where did the flatbed come from, is that something they make also?

My friend owns Oztray truck trays.

Hes based up in Canada but ships all over.

I will get a quote price for a flat deck for you

his stuff is really high quality
something like this but for a Tacoma obviously
    [IMG]

he can make tool drawers under the deck that slide out the back and tool boxes before and aft of the rear wheels as well as removable sides

Oztray truck trays can make a standard aluminum flat deck including lights and a headache rack that will have all hardware included for a simple install for approx. $3500

that includes shipping to most places in North America

I will post a picture of a setup on a midsize truck shortly

ya his stuff is super nice, all hand made by one guy

if you notice the white one has a cut out around the license plate, that a tool drawer that slides out the whole length of the bed that has HD load supporting sliders so you can toss a piece of ply or what ever and use it as a work table as well

I just checked out his site (what there is of it) and his stuff is badass. I see that drawer you're talking about and that's pretty slick.

ya i've been on his case about his site for ages, he's so busy making trays and accesories that he's not been able to get one up, i think its part finished.

He also makes custom furniture and decorations
