yes and in the bible at the same time they mentioned round. Either they didn't understand what round meant. Or they were physically looking at a round earth. belief at that time was almost square and flat.

Goodness, I'm getting sucked in too.
    Question on evolution.
Without logic, humans are extremely lame. Just about everything out there is bigger, faster and stronger than us. A human baby cannot do anything for months. We certainly are not capable of protecting them. So how did we not get wiped off the planet before we evolved into what we are now?

good point. If we were smart enough to make tools why did it stop there for thousands of years if not millions?

    Too many to list now.
How would you guys explain the major and minor prophets? ie Jeremiah, Isaiah and Malachi? The prophecies in those books are still coming true even now, but especially in Jesus' time. Iirc He fulfilled more than 60 prophecies that were written hundreds of years before He was born. His birth alone was prophecied many years prior.

That's like saying every species that is at the bottom or near the bottom of any food chain should be extinct as well

I have a serious question now. For evolution believers. If we evolved how did the different races of humans come to be? did we branch off from one species. And in the US were every man is created equal in the eyes of god, does evolution say they are not created equal?

Millions of years living in different environments will start to favor certain genes. In turn giving rise to different "races" as we call it today...I perfer to say people of different origin to keep everyone on the same playing field ;)

If I remember right...Anglo saxons came from areas with lots of cloud cover most of the year, causing the gene pool to favor pale skin so the sunlight can penetrate more giving them vitamin d and what not. Those with darker skin got sick and people did not want to reproduce with them, or they died, so their genes fell out of the mix.

Humans spread from Africa, same species.

In the US every man is created equal in the eyes of god? God doesn't apply that to the entire earth?

Equality isn't an aspect of evolution.

I can agree with that, but did we all come from one species? or did we come from different species of "pre-man"

    That's easy.
    They were right. :)

But easily dismissible prophetic interpretations are designed to be unsuitable as proof because they would then rob people of their free choice to believe. It would be like the impossibility of actually finding Noah's ark or the Arc of the Covenant. Those too will always remain inconclusive.

There is no coercion in God's love.

I wouldn't say so. Everything has some sort of defense to protect themselves and their offspring. Ours being logic, without that we are useless. Even bugs that can only dig. They're pretty low on the chain, but they manage to stick around because they can escape. Another way of continuing the species is to reproduce in such numbers that they simply cannot all be contained, or killed off. One defenseless baby at a time, isnt going to make it long.

I believe we came form one, or very similar who were compatible enough to get jiggy with it successfully. Groups get bigger and spread out, power control issues break groups up, etc.. Then some land in Africa, the Americas, England etc. and evolution dictates how each will develop.

Kind of hard to say where we specifically originated...we could all come from the sea for all we know.

You've reduced humans to nothing but logic. That isn't true.
