    Agreed

however I don't think that humans were just dropped into the equation as a species and your " why is there only one species of humans " arguement doesn't do much to convince me otherwise

So you're saying you just don't like the concept of evolution, and are looking for some other rationale to explain why things are the way they are.

    Got it.

    Here's another thing:

I don't get why Creationists are constantly disparaging of scientific theory. It seems to me they should be ENCOURAGING discovery of methods -- be it evolution or otherwise.

Who knows, maybe one day scientists will scientifically explain the existence of God, or a god. The more theories science can rule out, the better leg Creationism has to stand on.

Evolution is not a smoking gun of how we came to be intelligent.

Evolution is far from figuring out how 40 proteins somehow combined and started working together to make a living thing.

If it were that clear cut it would be considered fact. But it is very much a theory.

    So?

That's not a reason to deny it. I even hold out the slightest skepticism that we may be here because of divine intervention. I don't deny it's possible.

However, the overwhelming evidence is that organic beings have evolved over a period of billions of years to the current state they are in. A dare say a great amount more evidence than other theories.

Creationism is very much a theory, too. Why close you mind to one or the other?

Im not, in fact i believe there has been evolution to a degree with some sort of intervention. I just don't like how people are saying evolution is the law of the land Im right you're wrong. Just the idea behind evolution how it works right now doesn't make sense to me when you look at those 2 instances. Maybe they will prove one day and demonstrate how 40 proteins can work together and form a living thing by natural causes. I applaud more science.

The bones? Really? I guess everything on this planet must have evolved considering how many animals have eyes and ears.

I believe intelligent design takes from both theories. Its not rebranded creationism. Its medium between the both.

you've done nothing but say you're wrong. Provide evidence, explain it. This is a discussion. are you saying a chimpanzee is just a brother of the human that didnt evolve for 100 million years? or did the chimpanzee evolve later? around the same time as humans?
