Do like homer taco did. It is removable since it cannot be cut in PA so he can take it off on the trails.

I just looked at his setup. Not sure if it's something I could do. I'm a little confused as to how his bracket keeps the two edges of the pipes connected well.

I think I will be fine for now if I dump it, but I can always figure something out if a shop gives me crap for it.

I'm planning on cutting mine Saturday at the firehouse. I will be keeping the cut portion (unsure if I will try and sell it) and the exhaust hanger just in case. You can check back here if you're interested. Should have pictures up Saturday evening or Sunday.

    DUMPED EXHAUST AFTER AXLE

Chopped my exhaust after the axle today. Hit it with a couple shots of rust reformer spray paint to prevent any rust issues if you are wondering what the black color is. It definitely changed the sound of the TRD exhaust. It lost its "aftermarket" sound, if that makes sense. Sounds much more like a stock vehicle's exhaust now, but I really like the clean look of no exhaust tip hanging out. It was a necessity anyway for when I get a H/C rear.

Made it sound more quiet? Hmm, thought it would do the opposite.

It seemed to have just changed the normal sound if that makes more sense. I wouldn't really say it's all that more quiet, but it sounds less like the normal TRD sound and more just like a stock V6 exhaust.

I wouldn't mind letting you drive around in mine before you chopped yours if you wanted to make sure you liked it. Just let me know a time and I should be able to do it.

Might be getting Wheeler's SuperBumps for the front and rear, as well as a AP U-Bolt Flip Kit soon. Got some money for my birthday that's begging me to spend it.

I saw that on the Wheeler's page. Do the stock ones just screw off and the new screw on? That easy?

Yessir! Stock ones come off with vice grips and then you just throw the new ones on. You will need to cut an inch or two off of the allen wrench they send you.

You will see when you go to install them. Its too long so you cant turn it cause the LCA is in the way.

Yeah, I had to hack mine off too. I was like WTF, if you have your suspension torn apart it would work but not with it all buttoned up.

Superbumps front and rear for me. Love them! I ordered two front kits and used one for the rear since I didnt need the extra height of the rear kit. I just bolted it to the frame mount and let it strike the AP flip plate. Depending on your leaf pack that may not work for you though.

I had to use a big pipe wrench to get the front stockers off fyi.

I will be ordering the AP kit with the pre-tapped holes and then drill matching holes on the SuperBump rear brackets. The only worry I have is the U-Bolts being a little long for my leaf pack. I only have the stock 4 leaf plus the Toytec 1.5'' AAL. From AP's pictures, though, it looks like the U-Bolts have threads going down pretty far, so I hope that's not a problem.

And then just put some ass into taking off the stock fronts. Should be easy enough.

yea, ap's ubolts will be fine. I used them with the 3leaf pack and an aal so your's should fit.
