    ok so i have an 07 taco..and my buddy has an 02, is it possible to take his hitch mount and connect it to my truck so that i can use it?

    welcome to tw. i dont think the two interchange,because the frame is different.

    dam..i really dont want to spend money on buying a new mount, any way i can make sure? other than trying it myself...

    you can always take measurements from the old hitch to the new frame.

    Activator III brake controller, Extang Fulltilt toneau, Factory bed mat, Extra D-rings in the bed, 2ndary air filter removed, Garmin Ique GPS, Eco-2, AFE Pro Dry-s filter, USASPEC PA12-toy, Pioneer 3-way speakers, SG II on Blendmount, Gulf States Alarm added.
    Sorry, a Gen 1 hitch will not fit a gen 2 truck or vice versa. The Gen 2 trucks are wider as well as having the bolt holes in different locations.
