    It looks like my friend is not joining me tomorrow. I am hoping to get out of work by 11:30 and be on the road by 1:00 or in military time, 1300.

    No, I'm at the airport waiting now. I got a call from customs and border on the way down and they told me they were turning her away and she wasn't allowed in the country since she has filed for a visa but is entering on a temporary one that's for vacation purposes up to 90 days (even though she has a return ticket for 86 days later and her visa is getting expedited as of Thursday) after a few words she is now allowed here.
