You can pilot drill a hole with a drill bit, then put a solid bar in place of the drill bit in yhe hole saw, and just use really light pressure and slow speed to cut the notch with.

It's just not worth it and not coming out like I wanted and taking too long. Square tubing is so much easier

I tried to notch it every way I could with the tools I had and it wast comming even close. I don't know how that hole saw is supposed to work but it keeps skipping off and even with a pilot hole it took SO long to even make a noticeable dent in the metal.

    Bit of a photo dump.

Installed some 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers tonight. Main reason was because the front tires were rubbing the frame at full lock. Spacers fixed that. Stance is definitely wider and I'm sure when I get in the dirt it's gonna throw more crap up the sides of the truck but oh well.

I'll try to put before and after pics together from the same angle so you can see the difference.

Heck I've use a chop saw to make notches. Takes maybe a couple minutes.

Looks great! When I put my 1.5 allpro wheel spacers on most definitely more dirt on my truck. Gives your truck a great looking stance.

i have been considering spacers as well because I rub on my frame and sway bar at full lock. the negatives i read are just additional wear on components and possible "heavier" steering.

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
One of the most major negatives is that it will cause more and faster wear on your wheel bearings and steering components but that is all i'm aware of. I love my spacers and considering it saved me close to 1K over buying new wheels it was a plus.

also, new wheels with less back spacing would also have those effects on parts wear so it's a win win.

I can attest to the heavier steering. Also steering radius is reduced.

    So worth it

I've heard most the wheel bearing issues are 2nd gen stuff. Hell I rolled my truck with mine on and they are fine ha been running them for 3 years now.

    Wider is better
