This thread is dedicated to dumb words, phrases, and actions people do these days that make you face palm, no matter who, whether it's the little scene kid who over uses the term "Swag," or your nosey mother in law asking"how much was it." You must give the phrase and why.

EDIT: Sorry for the dumb ass title, I just realized it's jacked up.
DISCLAIMER: Please leave any/all butt hurt out of this. This is meant to be entertaining.:D

"At the end of the day" (I'm going to be nursing a bottle of Irish or Rye)
"To be perfectly honest" (You haven't been honest for the last hour?)
"With all due respect" (really means "You have no fucking clue but I don't want to piss you off")
"There is no 'I' in 'Team'" (There's no 'we' in 'successfully completed project' either)
"Think outside the box" (EVERYTHING is inside the box, but the box is bigger than your pathetic mind can imagine)
"Team building" (If I wanted to build a team, I wouldn't be working here)

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK I HATE THIS. My sister says this all the time.

Really? Is it what it is? You don't say? So what it is, it is? Wow. That's fucking deep. But you could save us all a lot of time by saying just "it is." Or you could say "oh well." Or, you could just shut your goddamn mouth.

One of my favorite quotes from the show pretty much sums up how I feel about internet lingo:

Just the fact that people seem to be getting dumber and dumber. I mean, we have all this amazing technology, and yet… computers have turned into basically four-figure wank machines. The internet was supposed to set us free, democratize us, but… But all it’s really given us is Howard Dean’s aborted candidacy and… 24-hour day acces to kiddy porn. People… They don’t write anymore. They blog. Instead of talking, they text… No punctuation, no grammar, L.O.L. this and L.M.F.A.O. that. It just seems to me that it’s just a bunch of stupid people pseudo-communicating with a bunch of other stupid people in a protolanguage that resembles more what cavemen used to speak than the King’s English.

For the military guys/gals out there, all of that military lingo/jargon that creeps into our normal speech. I am so used to it that I don't even realize when I do it anymore until I am speaking with a non-military person and they look at me like I just sprouted something out of my forehead.

On the same line, military acronym speak. Acronyms for everything are bad enough, but when you have acronyms that include acronyms, you've gone full Hooah. Never go full Hooah!

When a co-worker says, "WE should get this done before the end of the day"

    Which translates into:
"Forget that, I'm going to dissapear while I leave you to fix all my stupid ass mistakes, come back 30 minutes before the end of the day, grab it and hand it into the boss and take all the praise."

hmm... i guess i dont know how kids are using it these days (i must be old), but, when it comes to video game conventions, SWAG = Stuff We All Get. like at E3, GDC, blizzcon, etc... you would always get a free bag of swag.
