    Hell no haha :D

BTW, I took a page from your build and just finished up welding up some 1/4" plating on one of the knuckles. In the oven now for cooling. Turned out pretty damned good, IMO.

    Yup, to 400.

On another note, how the hell do you remove the stub shafts?? Only thing I could find online mentioned first removing the c-clips from the u joints but all I see is some gaskets/rings, which I removed.

Might as well add some updates. :anonymous:

Not sure I ever posted a pic of the finished bed lined floor. Regrettably I removed the shifter boot cover thing. Now I have no cup holders. I also siliconed the shit out of all the wiring and sensors running along the floor. I'd like to move the airbag computer to a higher spot but I don't know if that'll screw anything up.

Replaced the Kevlars with some worn 37" MTRs to hold me over until the SAC.

Took them for a spin at Badlands Offroad Park with SupraTT. They did surprisingly well with so little tread left.

FINALLY removed the Kingpins thanks to NwiTACO. Managed to bend the monster breaker bar. Sorry Mark haha :anonymous:

Cleaned up the housing and broke out the self-etching primer.

Now in the process of cleaning up the knuckles and welding the 1/4" plate reinforcements.

I think I've settled on a reasonable method to balance transportation and wear on expensive parts while DDing and getting to and from trails after the tons are in.

Rather than getting a tow rig and trailering the Taco everywhere, I'll get military humvee 37" tires and double beadlock wheels from Trail Worthy Fab for cheap and keep tools, gear, camping equipment and the more expensive 40-42" dedicated offroad tires on a 'small' trailer I'll tow behind the Taco. Whaddya think?

    :D

Yes that would work for half the kit. Other half being fuel management and delivery.

S larger fuel pump, larger injectors, and a ecu/piggyback programmer.

    But that's it otherwise.

That kits just goes strait from turbo to the throttle body. Would be nice to put a small intercoller behind the front grill too later for better efficiency. But that kit would work fine.

If you left it at 4-5psi you'd be fine without fuel management..but it wouldn't be recommended. I'd get something to compensate. Plus with that small a turbo you'd reall want 10-12psi to really make nice power.

    Would be awesome.

After the c-clips are removed place both sides of one of the yokes across an open vise. Hit other yoke (should be standing vertical) with a bfh to get it to start moving. From there you will be fine.

Oh they are there. Mine blended in and were one with the shaft from rusting for 40 years. PITA to remove but they will come out. Look closer lol

And yeah, looks like I'll be getting a full set of axles. The inner shafts are necked down.
