Oh I gotcha, yeah I agree man. I love the Tundras..... but a few things, I wouldn't be able to park it in my garage. I live in Oklahoma "Tornado, hail alley" and I can just see that being a headache. Off-road capabilities and size just getting around. BTW My brother is stationed at the AF base in Colo Springs. He's a Dentist there, Doc. Jump Cpt. Jump whatever they call him on base

There's some deals to be had on 2013 Tundra's right now. I hear you about parking in the garage. I just moved to Colorado 3 months ago from Virginia. I used to be able to park my Truck in the garage, but here, the garages are a bit smaller and it's hard to squeeze my truck and wife's Sienna in with our kids toys. I figure my truck is almost 7 years old and has scratches and dings, so I don't care as much as I used too. Good luck with whatever route you go.

I had a 07 DC Tundra and loved that truck. Comfortable, plenty of power, and just liked just about everything about it besides the milage (nicknamed it "thirsty"), and tender paint. I'm now in a 08 AC sport and it's a pretty nice truck and I like it, but the tundra was head and shoulders above it.

Now that I've had both trucks I can tell you the Taco is more of the truck I need, but the tundra is more of what I want. I never needed that much truck, but man it sure was nice to have!!

You've never driven a 5.7 Tundra if you think the Taco hauls ass lol.

I made the switch 2 months ago and never looked back. Don't get me wrong I loved my Taco and had a lot of fun with it but decided i wanted something a little bigger and thought is take advantage of the great Toyota resale on the trade in. Tundra drives so much nicer. I seriously considered an F150 and that was actually tops on my list but the dealer didn't seem all that eager to sell me a truck and I already had a deal I was good with on a tundra. I'm averaging around 16.5 in mixed driving which is around what I was at with the Taco. As far as someone saying the EPA estimates not being accurate they seem pretty spot on to me. Rated at 17 hwy and I get 17-18 if I'm not doing 80.

The power is awesome so that's not good for fuel economy. I'm single and the extra space is still nice. I say go drive one before your a decision. Don't let anyone talk you into one option or the other. Decide for yourself. I was I. The same boat as well with having my 09 taco paid off.

Agreed. I have a 2010, 5.7L tundra with 4wd and towing package (lower gears) that is a double cab. Its rated 13 city, 17 hwy and they are realistic. Now the hwy mileage is not accurate above 70mph, but the city is spot on even with my lead foot.

Congrats OP, I made the switch this past weekend to a Crewmax... man the power is nice, the seats are comfy, and the JBL system is nice. All in all, it fits me better.I am a bigger boy (6'2" and 240) and the truck just fits me.

we were driving to the mountains and I passed a tundra that was parked on the side of the road. back window down and full of people much more comfy than me+wife+kid+dog+pillows and such that I don't want in the bed. she even noticed me starring and said, "kevin wants a tundra.. . . . " true.

the tundy was nowhere to be seen on the adventure we had though. only reason I don't have one really is the reason I want one in the first place: size. the taco nurtures my current hobby of beating the crap out of it. someday when I find a more cost-effective hobby, the tundra will be right, but for now, we gotta hit the trails
